Description: Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School, a public charter school, serves 370 students from over 40 communities in north central Massachusetts. Parker is committed to living out the Ten Common Principles throughout the entire school--in curricular choices, programmatic decisions, and resource allocation. Personalized relationships between students and teachers, exhibitions for promotion and graduation (based on standards in over a dozen skill areas), and distributed decision making are hallmarks of Parker School.

Mission: Students are placed at the center of the educational experience for the express purpose of learning to use their minds well. Parker students are expected to learn to think clearly and act wisely.
