Young Women's Leadership Charter School

Mission: The Young Women's Leadership Charter School of Chicago is a reflective and collaborative community of learners dedicated to educating the whole woman by inspiring personal, social and intellectual growth. A rigorous science, math and technology curriculum integrating the arts, humanities, and physical fitness will prepare our students for higher education and rewarding careers. The school will foster in students a sense of responsibility to self and others, and will emphasize the value of respecting and learning from diverse identities within the school community. Parents and the wider community of professional s and resource organizations will play integral roles as advocates and partners in support of the education of our students. Our curriculum actively engages students in inquiry, self-reflection, critical thinking, informed decision making and real world experiences. Students will develop a capacity to become ethical leaders impacting change in their lives, their communities and the world around them. Each student will graduate with enthusiasm for continued learning and confidence in her own intellectual, personal and creative power.
